In my many years of working as a freehand artist, numerous artistic projects have repeatedly shown me that sketching is an especially effective tool for both representation and analysis—particularly when an idea for a design has not yet found its way into words.
To draw is to observe. Drawing allows us to perceive the forms and qualities of what we see beyond fixed concepts. In this way, it becomes a means of analysis.
This insight has shaped my approach as a drawing instructor and inspired my proposal for an educational collaboration with a museum.
I recognize that many museum visitors have little in-depth knowledge of art history. As an experienced freehand artist and freelance practitioner, I would like to accompany them during their visit and, through individually tailored guidance in sketching, help them explore the nature of the objects they encounter through drawing.
